These pics are taken on a little digital camera for continuity reasons. Sometimes a scene is filmed on location, then in the script the character walks onto a scene which we film on set. Since the two scenes might be filmed weeks or months away, the wardrobe department take a still picture as reference for what they are wearing. This is also useful should we have to reshoot anything.
