Taste of Birmingham will return in 2009, please register below if you would like to receive information
By popular demand Taste of Birmingham returned to the Midlands on 10-13 July 2008. Taste of Birmingham hosted a number of the Midland's finest restaurants in the glorious surrounds of Edgbaston's Cannon Hill Park.
Restaurants included Michelin starred Simpsons, award winning Opus and top Indian establishments, Lasan and Itihaas which served up signature dishes in sample sizes and entertained visitors over the four days.
The third annual Taste of Birmingham festival had a distinctly French flavour in 2008, as four top chefs from Birmingham's twin city of Lyon descend to play a starring role.
The award-winning French Chefs, were Joseph Viola from the restaurant Daniel et Denise, Laurent Bouvier of Le Puy D'or, Frédéric Berthod from Le 33 Cité and Olivier Paget of Le Fleurie. Together, they are members of the Lyon branch of Les Toques Blanches, a worldwide network of chefs formed in 1906 to share a passion for food, transfer knowledge, and promote quality regional produce and cuisine. This year's fantastic features included the Taste Kitchen where guests found their favourite chefs and food writers performing fabulous demonstrations and tastings celebrating the very best of British food. The delicious. Magazine Producers' Market celebrated the Midland's finest local produce, and music from the Jam House kept you entertained throughout the four days.
Heart Feelgood Zone: Guests chilled out and relaxed at the Heart Feelgood Zone at Taste of Birmingham. Visitors sat on luxurious giant beanbags, listened to great music from Heart Radio and enjoyed delicious food from around the festival.
