A US games company is suing the creators of the electronic game Scrabulous, claiming it infringes on the property rights of its game Scrabble.
Hasbro said it had also notified the operators of the website Facebook of the copyright infringement suit and asked them to stop hosting the Scrabulous game as soon as possible.
The firm said it filed the suit in a New York court and names Scrabulous creators Rajat Agarwalla and Jayant Agarwalla, as well as RJ Software as the defendants.
The India-based developers did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.
Hasbro said it has an electronic version of Scrabble available for Facebook users.
