GP in court on sex charges

A GP has appeared in court accused of sex offences.

Rajinder Aggarwal, 53, of Ilford, east London, appeared before magistrates in Grays, Essex, to face four allegations of sexual touching.

The case was adjourned until September 17 at Basildon Magistrates' Court.

Police said four women - aged between 26 and 53 - made allegations against Aggarwal. It was alleged the offences were committed in 2006 and 2007.

Aggarwal worked in surgeries and hospitals in various parts of England but has been suspended since March last year, police said.
