Scottish government ditches climate change targets

The Scottish government has confirmed it is scrapping its interim and annual targets for cutting greenhouse gases.

The Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf has come under intense pressure over the decision which ditches one of his predecessor Nicola Sturgeon’s key climate change pledges. This was the pledge to cut emissions by 75 per cent by 2030.
