11 dead in Israeli strike on tent encampment in southern Gaza

More than 50 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza so far today, according to local officials. Medics said 11 people, including women and children, were killed when one airstrike hit a tent encampment sheltering displaced families.

Israel said it had targeted Hamas militants, including one man they described as the head of Hamas security forces in southern Gaza.
