£11,000 iPad data bill scandal forces Scottish health minister to resign

Scotland’s Health Secretary has resigned following a backlash over the £11,000 roaming data bill racked up on his parliamentary iPad.

Michael Matheson claims he ran up the charges as a result of his teenage sons using the device to watch football while on holiday.

He initially tried to claim some of the charges on expenses before agreeing to foot the bill himself.
