‘A miracle’: children react to Pakistan cable car rescue

The schoolchildren saved from a broken cable car in Pakistan yesterday say their rescue was a miracle.

Six children and two adults spent more than 15 hours dangling hundreds of metres above a ravine. One teenager said they repeatedly thought they were about to die.

They’d been on their way to school when one of the car’s cables snapped. Its owner and operator have both been arrested.
