A special performance of Puccini’s Tosca is set against the backdrop of the Russia-Ukraine war

Ukraine’s dream of joining the European Union has got another step closer, as the European Commission agreed to begin accession talks early next year – describing it as an historic day. Ukraine is seeking to build closer ties with its overseas allies, not just on the battlefield but everywhere from trade to culture.

This Friday a special performance of Puccini’s Tosca will take place in London – set in the Ukrainian port of Odessa – against the backdrop of Russia’s war.
