Airlines cancel flights as coronavirus fears affect demand

Ryanair has become the latest airline to cancel flights due to a drop in demand caused by the virus.

The Dublin-based carrier said it is reducing frequencies on some routes by up to 25 per cent. British Airways and EasyJet have also cancelled a number of flights.

However, there was some relief for stock markets today after central banks including the Bank of England indicated that they’re prepared to step in to support the global economy.
