Alarming rate of glacier melt in Greenland threatens every major coastal city

Chief Correspondent

Greenland’s ice is melting at an alarming rate, and that means sea levels are rising.

That increases the risk of flooding and storm surges, and threatens coastal cities around the world.

Our chief correspondent Alex Thomson is in Greenland filming a special report we’ll be showing soon – but along the way he’s sending us some video postcards.

Tonight he’s in Ilulissat near the Jakobshavn Glacier.
