Alexander Blackman conviction reduced to manslaughter

A Royal Marine who shot an injured Taliban fighter in Afghanistan has had his murder conviction reduced to manslaughter. Appeal Court judges ruled that Sergeant Alexander Blackman, who’s already served three years in jail, had acted as the result of a mental illness.
