Almost 90% of pupils back at school in England amid increasing concern over testing

Nine out of 10 children were back in classrooms in England last week, according to official attendance figures published today – the first since the autumn term began.

That’s 5% below average – but teachers are now warning that attendances could fall because of chaos in the testing system.
