Amber Heard expected to appeal against $8.5m damages bill after losing case against Johnny Depp

Amber Heard is expected to appeal against the $8.5 million damages bill she was ordered to pay – after losing the defamation case against her former husband Johnny Depp.

In a statement immediately following the verdict – Ms Heard said she was heartbroken, describing it as a “setback” for women.
