Ambulance strikes suspended as unions agree to talks with government

From the winter of discontent into the spring of reconciliation?

A number of unions are suspending their strike action after apparently making progress in talks.

First came Welsh ambulance staff – then some of  their English colleagues – and physiotherapists have also called off planned action.
