Archie Battersbee dies after his life support was withdrawn

The mother of Archie Battersbee said her son ‘fought right until the very end’ after the 12-year-old died earlier today when his life support machine was switched off.

The boy had been at the centre of a legal battle between his parents and doctors ever since he suffered ‘devastating’ brain damage earlier this year in an incident at his home in Essex.
