Army called on to deliver fuel supplies as shortage continues across the UK

In some parts of the country the petrol crisis seems to be getting worse, with some forecourts in London and the south east out of fuel altogether.

The Petrol Retailers Association said the situation in those areas was “critical”, although Boris Johnson said military tanker drivers would be deployed from Monday as the Government wanted to take “all possible precautions”.
