Arron Banks rules out election challenge

It’s emerged tonight that Ukip’s main financial backer, the millionaire businessman Arron Banks, will not stand in the Clacton constituency, just a few days after signalling he would. It followed a bizarre press conference with the leader of the party Paul Nuttall, who appeared to barricade himself into a room, refusing to say whether he will stand as an MP.
