Artist David Shrigley turns 6000 unwanted Da Vinci Code books into George Orwell’s 1984

When the artist David Shrigley discovered that there were so many returned copies of Dan Brown’s thriller the Davinci Code, that an Oxfam shop in Swansea was refusing to accept any more – he set out on a challenge.

Mr Shrigley managed to gather about six thousand rejected copies of the Da Vinci Code. He then pulped them and turned them into a brand new edition of George Orwell’s 1984.
