At least 15 dead as Australia fires rage

At least 15 people have now lost their lives in the wildfires which continue to rage across south-eastern Australia, destroying hundreds more homes.

Police managed to deliver drinking water and other supplies to thousands of people who took shelter on beaches in an effort to escape the choking smoke and flames.
