Australia floods: record rainfall and a captured crocodile

Hundreds of people have been rescued from floods in Northern Australia, after a cyclone triggered a month’s worth of rain in a single weekend.

Some residents have been left stranded on rooftops for hours – waiting for help.

The Queensland premier called it the worst natural disaster he could remember.
