BA flight crew tell inquest they didn’t use defibrillator on teenager

Washington Correspondent

British Airways cabin crew have told an inquest into the death of a teenager who suffered an allergic reaction after eating a Pret a Manger sandwich that landing the plane took priority over fetching a defibrillator. Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who was 15, collapsed on a flight from London to Nice, and went into cardiac arrest. But the inquest heard the crew had not gone to get the device because they were supposed to cover the aircraft doors before landing.
