Barnier says UK must make up its mind on Brexit

It’s make up your mind time on Brexit, the EU’s chief negotiator has told Theresa May. Michel Barnier was in Downing Street for lunch with the Brexit Secretary, and the Prime Minister dropped in to meet him as well. Speaking afterwards, Mr Barnier warned Britain would face “unavoidable” barriers if it leaves the customs union and single market. After a weekend of confusion on the government’s post-Brexit customs policy, David Davis insisted it was “perfectly clear” that Britain was “leaving the customs union” and wanted a free trade and customs agreement instead.
