Baroness Hallett: Covid inquiry head issues public rebuke to government

The Covid inquiry and the government continue to lock horns.

The former judge who’s heading the inquiry has issued a public rebuke to the government, insisting that it is down to her to decide what evidence is relevant.

Baroness Hallett used a preliminary hearing to push back against the decision to mount a legal challenge against being forced to hand over messages and notes from Boris Johnson and his team.
