Belgian authorities demand £600m in unpaid taxes from Sports Direct

The Belgian authorities are demanding over £600 million in unpaid taxes from Sports Direct, the company has revealed – as it finally published its delayed financial results late this afternoon. The company also revealed that House of Fraser, which it took over last year, has lost more than £50 million. But Sports Direct said it believes it will be able to satisfy the Belgian tax authorities about its actions.
