Belgorod: After incursions into Russia, we speak to Russians Partisans who say they are fighting for Ukraine

Russia’s defence ministry claims it has defeated a group of insurgents who crossed from Ukraine into the Belgorod region of Russia and launched a series of attacks.

The leader of one of the Russian armed groups claimed that a dozen settlements in the area had been “liberated from Putin’s regime”.

Tonight some residents who were evacuated have been allowed to return home – while Ukraine denied any involvement in the incursion – describing it as an “internal Russian conflict”.
