Bereaved families and former employees of a failing mental health trust have met MPs to demand that the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Trust be disbanded. Campaigners say data from a number of sources shows more than 2,000 people have died while under the Trust’s care, in less than a decade.
The trust denies the figures, but the latest report by the health watchdog says during the pandemic 70 people died every month within six months of reaching out to the trust for help – or being referred there.
