Bernie Sanders soars ahead in Democrat primary race

An insurgent candidate that the more conventional politicians are desperate to stop. Sounds familiar? Well, this isn’t Donald Trump we’re talking about – but Bernie Sanders.

The left-wing Senator from Vermont stormed to victory in the Nevada Democratic caucus last night, leaving his nearest rivals trailing far behind.

Mr Sanders told supporters they had put together a “multi-generational, multinational coalition” which could sweep the country.
