The female gaze, drag queens and trans rights are just some of the politically charged themes of the films at BFI Flare, Europe’s largest celebration of queer cinema.

The Oscar nominated actor Elliot Page has told this programme that he drew upon his own experience to make his latest feature about a trans man who grapples with returning home after transitioning.
