Biden formally announces bid for second term as US president

Biden versus Trump – so good, they ran it twice.

It’s certainly heading that way for 2024, as Joe Biden confirmed he would be seeking a second term in the White House, pitching himself , again, as the best bet to stop Donald Trump.

With a campaign slogan “let’s finish the job”, Mr Biden said his priorities were defending democracy and personal freedoms in what he called a battle for the soul of America.
