Biden hopes a ceasefire in Lebanon would trickle into West Bank and Gaza

While Israel’s military chief appears to be ramping up the rhetoric with talk of a ground invasion, the US and France are reported to be ramping up diplomatic efforts to end the fighting in both Lebanon and Gaza.

President Biden says they’re seeking a settlement that can fundamentally change the region.

Hezbollah began firing rockets in support of Hamas and has pledged to continue until the war in Gaza ends.

So could this escalation in Lebanon turn out to be the beginning of the end?
