Black children four times more likely to be strip searched in England and Wales, new report finds

Too many strip searches of children by police have been “unnecessary, unsafe and under-reported”, according to a damning report by the Children’s Commissioner.

Dame Rachel de Souza also found that Black children are still four times more likely to be strip searched than their white counterparts.
