Blood scandal families call on Government to pay compensation now

Victims and families caught up in the infected blood scandal have told this programme they have little faith in the Government to bring forward compensation.

MPs have backed a Labour-led amendment to speed up the payments, and campaigners delivered a letter to Downing Street demanding swift action.

Tens of thousands of people were infected with HIV and hepatitis from contaminated blood products in the 1970s and 80s.
