Bolsonaro v Lula: Brazil election goes to surprising head-to-head

Brazilian voters are heading into an acrimonious run off in the elections after left-wing former President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva failed to secure the majority he needed to seal a first round victory.

Despite polls predicting a comfortable lead over current President Jair Bolsonaro, the right-wing populist did far better than expected.
