Boris cancels Moscow trip in Syria row

The Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, has cancelled a planned trip to Moscow tomorrow, saying Russia’s continued defence of President Assad after the chemical weapons attack was “deplorable”.

Mr Johnson said the situation had changed “fundamentally”. Today Russian and Syrian warplanes were still targeting the same area of Idlib province struck in the chemical attack.
