Boris Johnson ‘optimistic’ about plans to ease lockdown restrictions in England

As the Prime Minister met workers fighting back against the pandemic today in the North East, there were signs of the green shoots of his once signature optimism.

He said he hoped to be able to set out plans for easing lockdown restrictions in England later this month.
