Brexit: Fishing industry warns labour shortages could affect food supplies

Last week it was Nando’s running out of chicken. Yesterday it was the milkshakes drying up for McDonald’s. Tomorrow could it be chips without fish?

The fishing industry is sounding the alarm over food and labour shortages due to Brexit. An industry body said they’re up to 40 per cent short of workers, meaning there could be a seafood shortage this Christmas, if not sooner.
