Britain on the breadline: Two MPs tour country on fact-finding mission

Independent MPs Heidi Allen and Frank Field say the Chancellor must end the freeze on benefits when he delivers his spring statement next week.

They’ve been on a journey across the country. Today, they were in Chester, to hear the stories of people living on the breadline. They were told that too many people were left hungry and cold – and that the welfare safety net was failing.
