British overseas territory Tristan da Cunha to create giant marine sanctuary

The waters around a remote British overseas territory in the South Atlantic will be turned into one of the world’s biggest marine sanctuaries.

The authorities in Tristan da Cunha have declared a protection zone which will help safeguard wildlife – including albatross, penguins, whales and seals – some of which migrate as far as Cornwall.
