Britney Spears released from conservatorship after 13 years

Britney Spears has hailed “the best day ever,” as she regained control of her career and personal life for the first time in over 13 years.

A judge in Los Angeles ended the controversial conservatorship arrangement set up by her father in 2008 which she’d described as abusive.

Cheering fans travelled from all over the country to celebrate the ruling outside court.
