Businesses fear rising inflation could threaten economic recovery

Fears of rising inflation among businesses have hit an all time high and are threatening to stall Britain’s economic recovery.

The British Chambers of Commerce has asked the chancellor to provide support again to the faltering economy by delaying the planned increase in national Insurance contributions.

It’s gaining traction in the Cabinet, amid fears that the soaring cost of energy will put unsustainable pressure on household incomes.
