Monkey business in the Commons over circus animal ban
Conservative MP Mark Pritchard exploded at the Prime Minister’s team in the Commons this afternoon. He said David Cameron‘s aides had been offered him jobs and and threatened him in crude attempts to get him to drop his attempt to change the law.
Must be heavy stuff he was introducing, you might think. Think again. Mr Pritchard wanted to ban the use of live circus animals and No. 10 got extremely heavy over that, claiming that David Cameron would take a very dim view of it if the MP carried on with his measure.

Why, you may wonder the prime ministerial interest? I’m told there are suspicions that this could all be about a business concern in David Cameron’s constituency of Whitney that deals with wild animals.
