Murdoch pays the new government an early visit

Guess who was one of the first visitors into Downing Street, up the back stairs into No. 10 yesterday?

Rupert Murdoch. He’s never been a huge fan of Lib Dems so may have been seeking reassurance. In one of his TV interviews in the campaign, Adam Boulton of Sky asked whether David Cameron would resist the power of Murdoch if he got to No 10.

He said “of course” if my memory serves. Watch this space.
