Beaver fever

Beavers are back – or at least they will be if Natural England gets its way. It’s released a report today saying the species should be reintroduced into the UK as beavers are “stewards” of the country.

For his report tonight Tom Clarke, Channel 4 News’s science correspondent, has been down to a wild beaver enclosure in Kent, whence this stick. Made by genuine beaver teeth, clearly far more able to chew through the wood than my own.
