I’m really chuffed with the responses that my initial appearance in the blogosphere have generated.

Big problem at the moment: I’m under siege from the conventional medium of television to try to get Channel 4 News on the air tonight from Washington. But I am reading your comments with great interest, particularly on banking. And I will return to the subjects.

One other thing, while I’m here. The secret service have reportedly started a nationwide hunt in America for Obama lookalikes. Interestingly, I saw one yesterday at one point, walking alone beside the presidential limousine (have you missed how increasingly like the old Russian Zils these cars are looking, especially from the back?)

Anyway, if you are out there, Mr Obama Lookalike, they’ve got a job for you. I’m afraid it might involve mild peril…
