Handy neighbours?
As the Cabinet Secretary Sir Gus O’Donnell investigates the Liam Fox-Adam Werritty mystery, he will no doubt want to look into the role of Michael Hintze, the wealthy hedge fund operator who is reported today to have provided Adam Werritty with a desk at the office of his firm in Victoria.
Hintze has also help fund the Atlantic Bridge charity/think tank, which Werritty used to run on behalf of the defence secretary.
If Sir Gus wants to talk to Mr Hintze – and surely he should try – then he won’t have to go far.
A quick walk round the corner from his home might do the trick.
For I have just noticed that Sir Gus and Hintze live in adjacent streets in south London.
I haven’t had a chance to go and have a look, but looking at the street map on the internet I reckon that O’Donnell’s and Hintze’s gardens very nearly back onto each other.
And as somebody who also lives nearby, I can personally testify that the area does have a serious fox problem.
