Miliband promotes cut-price union scheme
Here’s a video clip which until yesterday was on the website of the shopworkers’ union Usdaw, promoting the scheme to encourage people who are affiliated members of the Labour party through their unions, to become full members of the party.
They were allowed to join at cut-price subscription rates, and for the first year their union was allowed to pay their subscriptions. Usdaw even offered a free subscription for people who signed up and agreed to pay by direct debit.
This scheme is at the centre of the row in Falkirk.
The union removed the video last night, when the Labour party announced they were suspending the cut-price union scheme.
