Emily Mortimer on female friends and low mascara content

She plays the executive producer of a news programme not unlike Channel 4 News in the US drama series, The Newsroom.

But Emily Mortimer’s character in her latest sitcom is much closer to home – a British actor who’s made it big in Hollywood and brings over a friend to work as her assistant.

Her real-life friend – comedy actor Dolly Wells – joins her, and they even use their own names. Our Culture and Digital Editor, Paul Mason, went along to meet them.
