Theresa May’s Brexit ‘war cabinet’ has held its first formal meeting to plan Britain’s post-Brexit trade deal with the EU. The committee of ten cabinet ministers met for an hour and a half in Downing Street this morning, but there will be more discussions in the New Year before they reach an agreement. In the Commons, the Prime minister said she would not be deflected from implementing the will of the British people, insisting there would be no second referendum on the final Brexit deal.
