California shooting: Police try to determine motive of 72-year-old man

Investigators in California have been trying to determine what drove a 72-year-old man to kill ten people at a dance hall – before leading police on an hours-long manhunt across the Los Angeles area.

The standoff ended when the gunman, identified as Huu Can Tran, took his own life.

But the attack, which came during Chinese New Year Celebrations, has left the tight-knit Asian community in shock.
